9.The Greatest Cover-Up In Religious History

The Bible is very clear about subject of the seventh-day Sabbath. Regardless of what pastors, priests, or churches  say or do, the Bible says, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God." 2 Timothy 2:15. Diligence means study-study the Word for "we ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29. When we go to the Bible, we find:

1. God created the world in six days and rested the seventh day-not because He was tired, but to rejoice over the completed creation.
2. God gave the seventh-day Sabbath to Adam and Eve before there was a Jew or any other nationality. It was given to all mankind.
3. God blessed, sanctified, and hallowed the seventh-day Sabbath to be a time to rest, worship and praise God. Genesis 2:1-3.
4. When God wrote the ten commandments on stone at Mt. Sinai, the Sabbath command was there, never to be erased or changed. Exodus 20:8-11.
5. Jesus kept the Sabbath when He came to earth as God-Man. Luke 4:16.
6. The Sabbath will be kept in the new earth after sin has been destroyed. Isaiah 66:23.
7. God did not change the Sabbath, for He said, "I am the Lord, I do not change." Malachi 3:6. And "My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips." Psalm 89:34.

So if God didn`t change the Sabbath, who would dare to tamper with it? The Bible answer that question in the books of Daniel and Revelation.
1. Daniel 7 presents four beasts, symbolic of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome.
2. The fourth beast, Rome, had 10 horns, symbolic of the division of the Roman Empire.
3. Another horn-a political/religious power came up with "a mouth speaking pompous words (great things)." Daniel 7:8.
4. This Little Horn power would "speak pompous words against the Most High (God), persecute the saints (follower of truth) of the Most High, and shall intend (take the liberty) to change times and law." Daniel 7:25.
5. History verifies the political/religious power that arose among the nations of Europe and became very powerful was papal Rome.
6. Daniel said this power would dare to change times and laws. The apostle Paul, speaking to leaders fo the church, said, "From among yourselves men will   rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after themselves." Acts 20:30.
7. Just as Satan used humans to introduce sin into this world, so he used human leaders of early centuries to introduce false teachings into the Cristian church. Teachings such as a soul existing separate from the body and Sunday replacing the Sabbath as the day of worship.
8. Emperor Constantine`s civil leagislation in A.D. 321 and church council pronouncements united Church and State in changing God`s law of the seventh-day Sabbath to Sunday by human decree.
9. The Convert`s Catehism states, "We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transfereed the solemtnity from Saturday to Sunday."

Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15. Friend, "we ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29. Jesus invites you to say, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
