12.The Bible`s Ancient Secrets revealed

Scientific evidence indicates many of the diseases afflicting society are brought on by our poor lifestyle.  Heart disease, cancer, strokes and premature death do not strike without a cause.  What we sow, we will reap.
What does the Bible say about health ?  First of all, we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may ... be in health." 3 John 2.  God made human beings perfect in the beginning and He wanted them to live forever.  Satan came "to steal . . . kill, and to destroy." John 10:10. He wants to steal your health and destroy your body.
Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life and ... have it more abundantly." John 10:10 God's principles of health revealed in the Bible are not designed to restrict your freedom or take away your happiness.
God wants you to live and be in the best health possible in a world which is full of rebellion of every description.
Let's note some very clearly enunciated principles in the Bible regarding our body and how He take care of it.  It does make a difference how we live if we want to get the most out of live.
1.  "I beseech you ..  that you present your bodies a living sacrifice ... to God." Romans 12:1.  We start by dedicating our entire life, including our body, to God.
2.  "Do you not know that you are temple of God ?" 1 Corinthians 3:16.  "You are not your own ... For you are bought at a price." 1 Corinthians 6:19,20.  We have the power of free choice.  The Christian chooses to life in harmony with all of God's laws-phisical and spiritual.
3.  "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31 The Christian's ultimate goal in every action and decision is to glorify God.
4.  The committed Christian will:
    a. Not defile the body with tobacco, alcohol or drugs which break down and destroy this purchased possession of God.
    b.  Choose the foods best suited for the body designed by God.
5.  A diet of fruits, nuts, grains, and vegetables prepared in a simple manner and with as little refinement as possible provide the finest nutrition for this "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14) body.  Flesh was not in the diet before sin and it will not be in it when sin has been destroyed and the earth is made new.
6.  A balanced lifestyle which includes sunlight, fresh air, water, exercise, good nutrition, rest, abstinence from that which is harmful and a moderate use of that which is good, a trust in divine power-all combined with obedience to revealed truth will glorify God.
Many are choosing to die by the way they are choosing to live.  If you are tired of being sick, choose a lifestyle that will improve your health and years to your life.
Jesus said, "Without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5 And St. Paul declared, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. It is a moral and religious duty to preserve our health and live a lifestyle that honors our Creator.
